User Role and Responsibility Definitions

There are two sets of Company User Roles and Responsibilities; Portal Permissions located on the Permissions tab and Contegix Permissions located on the Custom Fields tab.

Portal Permissions

Portal Permissions define areas of the customer portal that a contact has permission to access and/or edit.

  • Profile - View/Edit permissions for General Company Profile Information such as the Primary Account Contact, Company Name, Company Address, etc...
  • Billing Information - View/Edit permissions for Contegix invoices associated with your account
  • Change Password - Ability to change and/or reset passwords for your Company Contacts
  • Manage Contacts - Ability to Add/Remove/Edit your Company Contacts
  • Manage Contact Facility Access - Ability to manage your Company Contacts access to your servers within a Contegix datacenter. (Specifically applies to Colocation Customers)
  • Receive Billing Email - Specify whether or not a user receive billing emails from Contegix when invoices are generated
  • Invoices - Specify whether or not a user should be able to View or pay(Edit) Invoices for your account.
  • Services - Specify whether or not a user should be able to View Services for your account
  • Tax Exemptions - Specify whether or not a user should be able to View or Add/Edit Tax Exemptions for your account
  • Credits - Specify whether or not a user should be able to View Credits for your account
  • Orders - Specify whether or not a user should be able to View Orders for your account
  • Quotes - Specify whether or not a user should be able to View or Approve(Edit) Quotes for your account
  • Paypal Subscriptions - Contegix does not support Paypal Subscriptions
  • Event Log - Specify whether or not a user should be able to View changes made to your account, services, devices, and contacts.
  • Ledger Event Log - Specify whether or not a user should be able to View your Ledger change history
  • Mail Log - Specify whether or not a user should be able to view the Mail Log containing an audit trail of correspondence from Contegix
  • Lookup Domain - This feature is Currently not supported by Contegix
  • Own Tickets - Specify whether or not a user should have the ability to View or Edit their own tickets
  • Other's Tickets - Specify whether or not a user should have the ability to View or Edit all tickets for your company, regardless of whether or not they are the creator or owner.
  • Submit New Tickets - Specify whether or not a user should have the ability to create new tickets on behalf of your company
  • Search Tickets - Specify whether or not a user should have be able to search ticket history
  • Devices - Specify whether or not a user has the ability to view Device Details for devices assigned to your account
  • Racks - Specify whether or not a user has the ability to view the devices current location in Rack View
  • IP Addresses - Specify whether or not a user has the ability to view IP addresses associated with their account
  • Portal Introduction - Ability to view the Portal Introduction section of the Contegix Portal documentation
  • Billing Documentation - Ability to view the Billing section of the Contegix Portal documentation
  • Service and Devices Documentation - Ability to view the Service and Devices section of the Contegix Portal documentation
  • Support Tickets Documentation - Ability to view the Support Tickets section of the Contegix Portal documentation
  • Manage Company Contacts Documentation - Ability to view the Manage Company Contacts section of the Contegix Portal documentation
  • Manage Operating Instructions Documentation - Ability to view the Manage Operating Instructions section of the Contegix Portal documentation
 
Contegix Permissions

Contegix Permissions define functional roles a contact is allowed to perform with Contegix.

  • Billing - Specify whether or not a contact is a Billing Point of Contact for the company, a standard user, or not a billing contact
  • Colocation DC Access - For colocation customers only, specify whether or not a contact should have access to your colocated environment and/or should be able to approve access for other individuals to grant DC access
  • Sales - Specify whether or not a contact has the authority to add and/or remove services from your Contegix account.
